Sweets & treats
A counter of sweets for the kids… and for the grown-ups who say they no longer eat them.
Behind the blue door on Calle Simón López you will find sweets, cold drinks, souvenirs from Candelario, local products, lottery tickets and a warm village welcome.
Tobacco and alcohol cannot be sold to anyone under 18. Please gamble responsibly.

For many years this spot on Calle Simón López was a basket-weaving shop (cestería). Five years ago, Alicia gave it a new life as the tobacconist and kiosk everyone in Candelario knows today.
We are still a small, friendly village shop: we greet you by name, ask how you are and serve with a smile. And we keep everything you need within arm’s reach.
If you are visiting, pop in. We will point you to something tasty, tell you where to walk next and, if you like, send you off with a little piece of Candelario.
A proper kiosk and tobacconist: a bit of everything, well stocked and always close at hand.
A counter of sweets for the kids… and for the grown-ups who say they no longer eat them.
Water, soft drinks and chilled drinks to recover after climbing the steep streets.
Bracelets, keyrings and little keepsakes to take home or give as a gift.
Flavours and gifts from the sierra so the visit lasts longer back home.
Try your luck and top up your phone without leaving the street.
Tobacconist no. 1 in Candelario, with the same service as ever. Sales to over-18s only.

Candelario is best enjoyed on foot. Here is how La Corita fits into your stroll:

Calle Simón López 30. A light-blue batipuerta, a “Tabacos” sign and, behind it, everything you need.
Cold water for the walk, sweets for the kids or a souvenir for someone who could not come.

Candelario is a protected historic-artistic site in the Sierra de Béjar, famous for its mountain architecture, streets with little water channels and its batipuertas — doors split in two leaves that symbolise the village.
We have put together a short guide with the must-sees, from the old town to the mountains around it.
